Shrewsbury to Birmingham Airport

From anywhere in Shrewsbury and the villages around it: the town centre, Meole Brace, Bayston Hill, Battlefield or out towards Atcham.

The drive

A5064 and the A5 east, the M54 (about 22 miles), the M6 south, then the M42 to the airport (the airport’s own directions say leave the M42 at junction 6 for the A45).

That is 58 miles from Shrewsbury town centre, about 1 hr 10 min on a clear road. At busy times allow longer when you choose the pick-up time.

At Birmingham

We drop you at the premium set-down right outside the terminal, a minute’s walk from check-in. The airport charges £8 for up to 15 minutes there from 6 August 2026, added at cost.
