Cruise and ferry

Liverpool cruise terminal, Holyhead for Ireland, and Southampton for the longer sailings.

A cruise starts with a lot of luggage. We take it from your hall to the terminal, so the holiday starts at your front door.

Liverpool Cruise Terminal

About an hour from our base, on Princes Parade at the Pier Head. The terminal allows drop-off only, for up to 5 minutes in front of Baggage Reclaim, and there is no pick-up on site. For the trip home we agree a collection point nearby before you sail.

Holyhead, for Dublin

Stena Line and Irish Ferries both sail from Holyhead, about two hours from our base. Each has a 20-minute drop-off bay outside its terminal. Since storm damage in December 2024 the port has run on a single berth, so check which terminal your sailing uses. From 28 September 2026 Stena asks for a valid passport at check-in at Holyhead.

Birkenhead, for Belfast

Stena Line’s Twelve Quays terminal in Birkenhead is under an hour from our base.

Southampton

For the longer cruises: about 210 miles and four hours on a clear road. Cars can drop off directly outside each cruise terminal there.

Stations and hotel breaks

We also drive to and from railway stations, city hotels and country house stays, and collect you at the end of a mini-break.
