What we collect, and why
- To give you a price: the pick-up and drop-off you type, the date and time, and the number of passengers and cases. Addresses are looked up through OpenStreetMap services (Photon and postcodes.io) and road distances through the OSRM route planner.
- To carry out a booking: the passenger’s name, mobile and email, any flight or aircraft details and the notes you add. We use these to confirm and run the booking, which is the contract between us.
- To meet our licence: licensed private hire operators must keep a record of each booking. We keep booking records for at least six months.
- Tracking: during your trip only, the car’s position is shown on your private link. Positions are deleted after 30 days.
Who sees it
Our office and the driver doing your booking. Card payments are handled by our payment provider, which never shares your card number with us. We never sell personal information.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete what we do not have to keep. Email info@shropshirechauffeurs.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how we handle it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
